1. Who We Are

MVP Showcase is operated by Javier Ortiz, based in Lechería, Anzoátegui State, Venezuela. Contact: rtizjavier@gmail.com.

2. Information We Collect

  • From prospects (including minors): name, date of birth, playing position, height, weight, B/T, academy affiliation, sports metrics, scouting video, profile photo, jersey number, uniform size.
  • From users (academies, scouts, parents): email, name, role, associated academy (if applicable).
  • From payments: payment method, transaction reference, amount, date. We do NOT store card numbers or banking credentials.

3. How We Use Information

  • Create and maintain the prospect's public sports profile.
  • Generate rankings, leaderboards and comparisons by signing class.
  • Allow professional scouts and agents to discover talent.
  • Send operational notifications.
  • Improve the platform with aggregated anonymous metrics.

4. Minor Data (CRITICAL)

MVP Showcase serves prospects ages 7 to 18. To process minor data we comply with:

  • Written parental consent in advance (see Minor Consent).
  • Sensitive info restriction: we do NOT publish home address, phone number or minor's email.
  • Parent/guardian can request profile deletion at any time.

5. With Whom We Share Information

  • Registered professional scouts and agents on the platform — can see the prospect's full public profile.
  • General public (no login) — sees profile with limited basic data. Premium metrics and video are behind login.
  • Tech providers: Supabase, Bunny.net. Both meet SOC 2 / GDPR security standards.
  • We do NOT sell data to advertising third parties.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use strictly operational cookies (auth session, language preference). We do NOT use advertising tracking cookies.

7. Security

  • HTTPS connection across the platform.
  • Row-Level Security (RLS) in database.
  • Passwords are stored hashed (bcrypt).
  • Daily automatic backups with 7-day retention.

8. Your Rights (ARCO)

As the data subject, you have the right to:

  • Access: see all data we have about you/the minor.
  • Rectification: correct incorrect information.
  • Cancellation: delete the full profile (right to be forgotten).
  • Opposition: object to specific uses of your data.

9. Data Retention

We keep prospect data while they are active. If you request deletion, we erase profile + metrics + videos within 30 days. We keep financial records (payments) for 5 years per Venezuelan accounting requirements.

10. Changes to this Policy

Material changes are notified by email. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version.
